CHENNAI: DMK president and Opposition Leader Mr.M.K.Stalin on 12th April 2020 distributed essential food items and groceries to nearly 2,000 workers in Chennai who came here from other States. He extended his solidarity to these workers who are affected by total lockdown being implemented to prevent the spread of Coronavirus,
At Tambaram, Mr.Stalin handed over vegetables, rice, grocery items and other essentials to 1,500 workers belonging to other States. in Gurunanak College in Velachery, he distributed food essentials to 500 workers from other States, organised through Gurunanak College Trust.
“These workers from other States have come to Chennai from a long distance leaving their home and place. for their livelihood…..Their hardowrk and their role in our construction sector is wellknown….Let us thank them abd support them in this time of need,” Mr.Stalin has said in a message on 12th April 2020.
