SBI gives disinfectant units to Madurai Corpn

MADURAI: The arsenal to fight Coronavirus in Madurai city got further equipped with State Bank of India (SBI) sponsoring and handing over 25 handspray disinfectant units to Madurai Corporation here on 10th April 2020. 

SBI Regional Manager Mr.Siva, Deputy General Manager Mr.Ravikumar and Oomachikulam Branch Manager Mr.Chandrasekar, have handed over the anti-germ disinfectant spraying machines to Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan in Madurai today.  

A press release from the Corporation has said that many steps have been taken to prevent the spread of Coronavirus infection during this period of total lockdown. Spraying and sprinkling of disinfectants- germ killers being done on government offices, hospitals, public buildings, bus stands, apartments and Corona affected areas in Madurai city.

“With the spraying units sponsored by SBI, more streets can be covered easily by Corporation workers and sanitary workers……Public should not come out unnecessarily during this lockdown period…..Crowds are not permitted in Corona lockdown time,’ the press release added.

Besides SBI, there was also one more sponsor. The Jain community had provided 15 disinfectant spray units to Madurai Corporation and were handed over today. Mr.Suresh Jain was present representing the Jain community.

Amon those who were present include City Engineer Mr.Arasu, Assistant Commissioners Mr.Palanisamy, ACHO Dr.Vinodh Raja, PRO Mr.Chithravel and others.
