MADURAI: The Health Department is taking rapid steps to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in all urban and rural areas.
In the last few days, health and sanitary workers have stepped up vigil and put three places on complete alert preventing entry and exit of people there as a precautionary step. Also, medical check-up is being done wherever required by gathering information about symptoms from residents.
On 8th and 9th April 2020, the surveillance was geared up at KEELAMATHUR, MELAMATHUR AND KODIMANGALAM villages in in Thiruparankundram panchayat union in Madurai district. Home isolation is being ordered wherever needed.
In cases where persons came from other countries, a notice is being pasted on the doors and they are not allowed outside.
