MADURAI: In line with various preventive measures being taken across the city to stop the spread of Coronavirus, a disinfection tunnel came up at Madurai Corporation’s main building ‘Arignar Anna Malaiga’ here today.
On 8th April 2020, Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan inspected the tunnel and enquired about its special features in killing the germs and infectants. The Corona Disinfection Tunnel in Madurai Corporation HQ came up with the support of Free Masons and Karmal Engineering.
Already, one such tunnel was provided at Madurai College ground here where temporary vegetable shops were given permission. City Engineer Mr.Arasu and corporation officials including Mr.Palanisamy and PRO Mr.Chithravel were among those present today during the coronavirus disinfection tunnel inspection, according to a press release here today.
