
MADURAI: In response to clarion call given by Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi to observe ‘Janata Curfew’ on March 22nd asking people to stay indoors in fight against global pandemic Corona virus, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sent out the importance of hand washing in Madurai.
Today, the BJP leaders and functionaries undertook hand wash demo and awareness in Athikulam locality in Madurai city to create awareness on how to fight the Corona Virus- COVID-19.
Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan took part in the special drive urging people to follow self-imposed discipline, voluntary control and abide by the advice of the PM to control spread of virus in India.
“Washing of hands frequently every day is an easy thing people can do…..By that, we can wash out the virus. Our PM’s call for ‘Janta Curfew’ is in the interest of the nation because an extraordinary situation is prevailing in our country,” Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan told ‘Lotustimes’ news website today- 21st March 2020- after taking part in the public awareness program.

Stating that the best slogan now is ‘VEETTIL IRUPPOM-NAATTAI KAAPPOM’ (Stay at home and save our country), the BJP leader said that public awareness should be increased about the importance of hand sanitizers, hand washing and sanitation in the larger interest of people’s health and country’s health.
Apart from walking through streets in Athikulam in Madurai, the BJP functionaries also got into mini-buses plying that area and alerted people about Coronavirus by asking them to remain at home on March 22nd -Sunday- ‘Janata Curfew’ day being observed by the people voluntarily following the call given by PM Mr.Narendra Modi.
