Shops will remain closed on 22nd March: Traders Fedn

CHENNAI: Traders association in Tamil Nadu has announced that small and tiny shops, retail shops in the State will remain closed on 22nd March 2020 in response to Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s nationwide call for ‘Janata Curfew’ as a part of Corona prevention measures.

Mr.Kolathur T.Ravi, State president of traders federation called ‘Tamil Nadu Anaithu Vanigargal Sangagalin Peramaippu’ – in a press released said that it is a welcome move to voluntarily self impose a curfew for one day to prevent spread of corona virus. 

APPEAL TO STATE GOVT:

Mr.Kolathur Ravi had appealed to the Tamil Nadu government to ensure that Corporation license period for shops is extended. “Chief Minister Mr.EPS is taking good steps to prevent Coronavirus….We request that small traders are given adequate time for payment of loans to banks and fine should not be imposed on shops during this critical period,” the press statement from traders federation had urged.
