MADURAI: Coronavirus prevention activities have been taken up on an intensive scale by the Madurai Corporation at all important public places in Madurai city.
On 20th March 2020, Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan inspected M.G.R.Bus Stand and Aarapalayam Bus Stand where the civic body is focusing on washing of hands by the public by providing taps, washbasins etc.
Buses were being washed and disinfectants are being spread as a preventive measure in the fight against Corona. Dos and don’ts of Coronavirus are displayed for public view.
Mr.Visakan had also visited Kochadai, Kaalavasal, Uthangudi and other places where various works related to civic infrastructure are being executed by the Madurai Corporation. Among those who were present during the Corporation Commissioner’s inspection include Assistant Commissioner Mr.Sekar and Executive Engineer Mr.Murugesa Pandian.
