MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcomed the voluntary self imposed 22nd March ‘Janata Curfew’ call given by Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi in his televised address to the nation yesterday to fight the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
In a press statement issued here on 20th March 2020, TN Chamber president Mr.N.Jegatheesan and secretary Mr.J.Selvam said that trade and industry will have to observe curfew on 22nd March expressing solidarity in the fight against coronavirus.
“The Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomes the clarion call given by our PM Mr.Modi. Hence we are also requesting the people to confine themselves in their homes and not to go outside on that day 22nd March – Sunday. Our chamber appeals to all trade and service units to close for one day,” the TN Chamber press release said today.
