MADURAI: An awareness meeting on Coronavirus- COVID-19- was organized in Madurai today – 17th March 2020- to disseminate important information about precautions, masks, hand wash, soaps, medicines etc to wholesale dealers of drugs and medicines besides reaching right info to pharmacists by the Chemists and Druggists Association, Madurai.
The awareness meeting took place at Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry auditorium here. Generic and Surgicals wing will take public awareness to the people. Mr.G.Ganesan, association president, had presided over this important meeting.
Mr.N.C.Ravichandran, Assistant Director of Drug Control Department, Madurai region, had addressed the chemists and druggists. They were advised to sell products such as masks at MRP only. Among those present were medical officer Mr.P.V.Mohammed and others.
