MADURAI: Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan had convened a special meeting today by calling the drivers of Corporation vehicles and instructed them to drive slowly, follow traffic rules and road safety guidelines.
On 12th March 2020, he had an interaction with Corporation drivers here where he stressed that over-speeding and rash driving is not permitted. “Stop cell phone talking while driving……Wear uniform while driving….Nighttime shift drivers should take a rest in the morning so as to ensure safe driving during their shift time…..,” he said.
This meeting took place today following a reported incident of a Madurai Corporation vehicle hitting a two-wheeler yesterday in which one person died in that accident in the city.
Among those present in today’s important meeting include Avaniapuram Traffic Inspector Mr.V.Senthilkumaran and other officers.
