MADURAI: The long distance Madurai – Punalur – Madurai passenger trains will be converted as Express trains ex.Madurai from 30th June 2020 and ex.Punalur from 1st July 2020, by duly increasing the speed and augmented with additional 3 Sleeper and one AC Three Tier Coach. Madurai to Punalur T.No.16729 (old No.56700) Punalur to Madurai T.No.16730 (old No.56701), according to a press release from the Southern Railway Madurai Division received here yesterday.
The revised Composition: AC Three Tier Coach – 1, Sleeper Class – 10, and Second Class – 8 and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches, the press release from Railway PRO here has informed.
