MADURAI: Due to maintenance and revamping works of drinking water pipeline in Kaalavasal area in Madurai city, the Corporation has announced that there will be no water supply for one day – on 9th March 2020 – in some areas and wards.
Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan has announced through a press release here today that the following areas will not have water supply on the said day- 9th March 2020. In the North Feeder Main, the authorities are putting up iron pipeline.
The areas are: Aruldosspuram, Thathaneri, Sellur, Meenakshipuram, Kulamangalam Road, Goripalayam, Race Course Colony, DRO Colony, PT Colony, Bibikulam, Naimedu, Pudur, Anna Nagar, K.K.Nagar, Mathichiyam, and Karmbalai.
Also, there will be no water supply on 9th March in HMS Colony, Vratipahu, Ponmeni, Sammattipuram, Sundararajapuram, Jaihindpuram, TVS Nagar, Muthupatti, Alagappa Nagar, Keerathurai and Villapuram, the Madurai Corporation released had informed today and urged the residents of these areas to store water for that day.
