‘Ramayana Yatra’ special train flagged off in Madurai

RAMAYANA EXPRESS flagged off at Madurai Railway station on 5th March 2020.

MADURAI: ‘Ramayana Bharat Darshan’ special train, the popular tour package of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation’s (IRCTC), South Zone, was flagged off by Mr.Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, here today (05.03.2020) at Madurai Jn. Railway Station.  

Mr.Sellur K. Raju, Minister for Co-operation, Government of Tamil Nadu,  Mr.R.B. Udhayakumar, Minister for Revenue and  Disaster Management, participated as Guests of Honour.  Mr.V.R. Lenin, Divisional Railway Manager, Southern Railway Madurai Division, Mr.S. Jegannathan, General Manager, IRCTC South Zone, Mr. V. Prasanna, Sr.Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr.Sachin Kumar, Station Director and other senior railway officials and staff were present on the occasion.

The Ramayana Yatra special train will run via Dindigul, Karur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Chennai Central, then covers Chitrakut Dham – Buxar – Raghunathpur – Sitamarhi – Janakpuri (Nepal) – Ayodhya – Nandigram – Allahabad – Shringaverpur – Nasik – Hampi from 5th to 18th March 2020 and the package cost for the 14 days tour is Rs.15,990/- per person, including GST.
