MADURAI: Students of Madurai Corporation schools who won prizes at the National Level Robotics Championship were felicitated by Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan here today – 5th March 2020.
The national level robotics contest took place in Chennai on February 22nd and 23rd in Madurai. Madurai Corporation took the initiative of establishing robotics labs in six corporation schools in Madurai and students were trained. This initiative was done in association with HCL Foundation and American India Foundation, according to a press release from the corporation.
From Madurai, corporation school students participated in the competition from league level as two teams Phoenix and Galaxy and other students showed keen interest too from corporation schools.
Those who bagged prizes were felicitated. Corporation Education Officer P.Vijaya and American Indian Foundation coordinator Mrs.Sharmila and headmasters of corporation schools were present during the felicitation.
