MR.T.RAMAKRISHNAN, SENIOR JOURNALIST, CHENNAI:

‘I have known Mr.Shastry V Mallady for over 20 years. Notwithstanding my differences with him on a variety of matters including political outlook, I have observed that he has always displayed certain level of commitment and passion about whatever task he does. For over six months, I have been following the website – Lotus Times. I understand that Mr.Mallady is planning to make the website broad based in terms of news coverage and editorial treatment. I wish him and his creation all the best in their future endeavours.

PROF.DR.R.SRINIVASAN, BJP LEADER:

Initially Lotus Times was launched to cover the news of Madurai BJP to reach the whole country in English. Shastry Mallady is politically interested with nationalist mind and deeply routed in journalistic values and ethics, He is a person who can’t be bought and free to give his critical comments.

In recent months, LT has taken a new dimension in its journey and it is no more a BJP website. In its pursuit of an idealism, any paper should shed its political colour on practical plank. Now, LT has evolved apolitical – more focus to Madurai- and thoroughly professional. I wish LT greater heights in coming years.

DR.K.MUTHUCHELIAN, VICE-CHANCELLOR:

Lotus Times is bridging North, East, West, South with its NEWS and touching our hearts nationally. (Dr.K.Muthuchelian is Pro-Vice Chancellor of Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore).
