MADURAI: The Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education for Madurai Region Mr.R. Baskaran has today assured that the sexual harassment allegation received from ANJA College in Sivakasi in Virudhunagar district will be fully enquired and students will be protected.
“If there is anything wrong done to the students, definitely we will take action. Our action will be based on enquiry. We have received a complaint but I can give full details only after seeing the office files on Monday. At the same time I can assure that our department will go by proper report, verification and probe report. That is my assurance,” the Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education in Madurai Dr.Baskaran told ‘Lotustimes’ English news website today- 22nd February 2020- Saturday.
Sexual harassment complaint allegation was with regard to a faculty member of Computer Science Department of Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College in Sivakasi and students have complained that no action was taken against the person since 2019 despite appealing to the authorities.
