MADURAI: A very touching appeal was made today by the Madurai man who was held up in Diamond Princess ship in Japan following the Coronavirus quarantine there.
Mr.Anbalagan, a chef – crew from Madurai, has made a request for the immediate intervention of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.Edapadi K Palanisamy, Opposition leader Mr.M.K.Stalin and to Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s government to take steps for evacuation of five Tamils and all Indians who are in the ship right now.
“People belonging to America, European Union and other countries have been taken out from this ship by their governments. But our Indians and Tamils are yet to hear anything from embassy about when we will be flown back to our places in India,” Mr.Anbalagan has said in a video message on 21st February 2020 evening.
He further said in his appeal to Mr.EPS and Mr.Stalin that they must put pressure on the Central government to act fast in this important issue of evacuating the Indians quickly from Diamond Princess ship.
“People here are asking why the Indians are still in the ship. Quarantine period and observation here are over already, but we do not know why no step has been taken yet. I request once again the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.EPS and Mr.Stalin to help us, help the five Tamils and evacuate all our Indians held up in the ship after Coronavirus outbreak. Presently we are fine, but we are eagerly waiting to come home,” Mr.Anbalagan of Madurai said today.
