MADURAI: Coming up as a major boon to the deserving people of Madurai city, a ‘Health Mela’ is being organized at Thiru.Vi.Ka School here on 23rd February 2020- Sunday.
The camp is being organized by health authorities here with the support of Madurai MP Mr.S.Venkatesan who is taking a major initiative for the health screening medical camp for the benefit of people in the city.
“Already one camp was conducted in Melur last week. Now the second one is for people of Madurai city and the objective of these camps is to ensure good health of people,” Madurai MP Mr.Su.Venkatesan told ‘Lotustimes’ news website today.
Dr.S.Senthil Kumar, City Health Officer (in-charge), Madurai Corporation, has said that the ‘Health Mela’ will be a super-speciality medical camp covering various fields and general medicine. Also, this Health Mela in Madurai city will help in creating public awareness about health disorders, early screening and treatment aspects.
In each Parliamentary constituency, the Member of Parliament was asked to hold three health camps covering rural and urban areas.
