MADURAI: Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan today inspected the works going on at Periyar Bus Stand and in other places in Madurai under the Smart City project.
On 13th February 2020, he along with senior corporation officials carried out inspection at Periyar Bus Stand, where works are being undertaken at a cost of Rs.159 crores.
He enquired about the repair works at places including East Avanimoola Street where multilayer parking is being developed, at Netaji Street, near Meenakshikoil, Tirumalai Nayakar Mahal and surrounding careers where drinking water supply, underground drainage and other civic issues were addressed.
Among those who were present during today’s inspection include Madurai Corporation Chief Engineer Mr.Arasu, Executive Engineer Mr.Murugesa Pandian, AEE Mr.Kulandaisamy, PRO Mr.Chitravel, Assistant Engineers Mr.Arogia Xaviver and others.
