MADURAI: A woman from Nagamalai Pudukottai locality in Madurai today submitted a petition to Madurai District Collector Dr.T.G.Vinay urging him to take steps for bringing back over 100 Indian nationals including her husband Mr.Anbalagan who got stranded in a ship in Japan because of Coronavirus threat.
Mrs.Mallika, wife of Mr.Anbalagan, today made a plea to the District Collector that her husband and all other Indian citizens who got held up in ‘Diamond Princess’ ship must be brought back by the Indian government.
“The Japanese government had imposed restriction on that ship and our Indian national citizens are there in that ship. I request the district collector to take up this matter at higher level and bring by husband and all others back to their places,” Mrs.Mallika appealed.
Tiruparankundram MLA Dr.P.Saravanan was present when she gave her petition – representation to the collector at Madurai district collectorate here today – 13thFebruary 2020.
