CHENNAI: Poor and deserving economically weaker section families have a relief and solace, thanks to the gesture of Lions Clubs International District 324-A5 and generous hearts of its clubs and members.
On 12th February 2020, the Lions are leading a noble service activity of conducting free marriage for 108 couples at YMCA Hall in Royapettah in Chennai.
Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Mr.O.Panneerselvam, Tamil Maanila Congress president Mr.G.K.Vasan, State Ministers and former senior office-bearers of Lions Clubs will be among those present at this free wedlock ceremony.
SERVICE ACTIVITIES:
Ln. N.S.Rani, District Chairperson (Mass Marriage), Lions Clubs International District 324-A5, has said in a press release here today that various welfare schemes are being carried out all through the year for deserving people.
The service activities include free medical camps, eye donation, blood donation, tricycles to physically challenged persons, distribution of tailoring machines, iron boxes etc.
For the 12th February free marriage ceremony to be performed in the presence of Deputy CM Mr.OPS, the Lions Clubs International District 324-A5 will provide several things freely to help the poor families belonging to various families. They include marriage ‘thali’, vessels, marriage clothes, provisions for one month and many more.
Lions District Governor Mr.B.Sathyanarayana Murthy, Past District Governor Mr.N.R.Dhanapalan, Co-Chairperson of Mass Marriage project Mr.N.R.Hari Krishnan, will be among those who will be present at this solemn occasion to bless the 108 couples, the press release said.
