MADURAI: Sivaganga MP Mr.Karti Chidambaram has today said that it will be better for actor Rajinikanth to join the BJP instead of starting a new party because his thinking and speeches are on the lines of Hindutva.
“Already it is clear that Rajini is taking the BJP line. We saw what he said about CAA or NRC and on other important issues. So my feeling is he can join the BJP directly,” the Congress MP said talking to reporters at Madurai airport here today – 6th February 2020.
The son of former Union Finance Minister also took a dig at the recent Union Budget of Modi government by saying that there is nothing much to talk about and once again the southern States got neglected.
“I also feel that the CAA and related issues are not good for India. The spirit behind population register thought about by the UPA government then and the present Modi government is diametrically opposite,” he added.
Replying to a question on IT raids in actor Vijay’s premises, Mr.Karti Chidambaram opined that Income Tax raids are crude methods of investigation and the raids are looking like only for sensational news.
