THANJAVUR: With just a few hours left for ‘Kumababhishekam’ ceremony of Thanjavur temple tomorrow (5th February 2020), it is all festive and devotional mood here today.
The town is full of devotees who arrived here from various places of the country to witness the event taking place after more than two decades. Tomorrow, the sacred ceremony takes place at 9.30 a.m.
Today morning, the special poojas connected to the ‘kumbhabishekam’ were done by a large number of priests who had performed the ‘yagam’. Special programs of ‘nadaswaram’ and cultural events are taking place in Thanjavur today as a part of the temple consecration ceremony.
Security arrangements have been beefed up and Fire Service Department is ready..
