MADURAI: The Southern Railway Madurai division’s Medical Department had organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme with the theme ‘Back to Basics’ in Madurai today – 1st February 2020.
Dr. B.P Nanda, Principal Chief Medical Director, Southern Railway, was the chief guest while Mr. V.R. Lenin, Divisional Railway Manager, Southern Railway, Madurai Division, presided over the function. Dr. R.J. Bhaskar, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent and other doctors attended the programme.
Dr. Nanda has said that doctors in Railways have been providing quality health care services to the railway employees, staff and others. He mentioned that from the early days railway hospitals are more advanced with rich knowledge and equipment. He also stressed that educational programmes and conferences help in enrichment of knowledge of the medical professionals for application in future.
Mr. Lenin, Divisional Railway Manager, Southern Railway, Madurai division, had spoken about the commitment of Railway doctors to provide highest quality of medical care even in the remote corners of Railway network. He added that Railway Doctors are taking every possible step to ensure that all employees get necessary medical assistance.
Dr. Baskar, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent, while speaking at the conference said that such educational programs help in sharing of knowledge about the recent advances in medical field to provide better healthcare services to the patients. As many as 100 doctors from Southern Railway, took part in the programme. Dr.Baskar welcomed the participants of this CME program.
