MADURAI: The people of Madurai were given an advisory and caution that wearing a helmet while driving two-wheeler is a must because it is for their own safety and for their family.
On 27th January 2020, a bike rally for helmet awareness was taken out from Tiruparankundram to Palanganatham in Madurai city. Transport department, police department, traffic police and voluntary organizations were among those involved in this Road Safety Week 2020 awareness drive.
An appeal was made to people to follow traffic rules, follow road safety measures and wearing helmet is a must to prevent casualties, head injuries etc.
