MADURAI: It was a devotees day out in Madurai district on 24th January 2020. The day is important because it is ‘Thai Amavasai’ and ‘Sani Peyarchi’ coming together.
Since early morning, it was like all the roads leads to temples. From remembering their ancestors to offering prayers to God Sani on this transit day of Saturn, this day was marked with devotion everywhere. In Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Alagarkoil Temple, Tiruparankundram Temple and everywhere including places like Sholavandhan, it was only poojas and prayers today in Madurai district.
Priests have performed the rituals while temples buzzed with devotees who came to pray the Saturn.
