MADURAI: Hyderabad MP Mr.Asaduddin Owaisi today lashed out at Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi and Home Minister Mr.Amit Shah by saying that citizenship issue cannot be tampered in India because it is ‘unconstitutional and there cannot be two principles.’
Mr.Owaisi, who spoke to reporters at Madurai airport here today- 22nd January 2020- has said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is unconstitutional and it violates the fundamental rights / and the right to equality.
“Citizenship on the basis of religion is going against basic structure of our Indian Constitution…..This is democracy not dictatorship and India is not Iraq or Korea,” he said.
