MADURAI: Four persons sustained major injuries in Avaniapuram jallikattu in Madurai today. They were rushed to Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) here for immediate medical attention.
Another 37 bull tamers who got injured were given first aid by medical teams. Totally 700 tokens were issued for Avaniapuram jallikattu and only after a thorough verification, medical check up and veterinary approval of bulls’ condition, the jallikattu is taking place in Avaniapuram today as per prescribed guidelines.
