MADURAI: The DMK had managed to win the Alanganallur Panchayat Union Chairman post in Madurai district with its candidate Panju Alagu getting elected today.
Of the total 15 wards in the union, DMK won eight wards while the AIADMK got seven in the recently held rural local body elections. Panju Alagu of DMK and Revathi from AIADMK were in the fray for this post.
DMK cadres celebrated the victory of their candidate as Alanganallur Panchayat Union chairman.
