MADURAI: It was a dazzling and scintillating performance by students of Queen Mira International School (QMIS) in Madurai at a gala event held to celebrate 9th Annual Day in their school campus at Kochadai here on 20th December 2019.
Christened as ‘Sangamam’ (an amalgamation of arts) and focusing on very important theme called ‘Celebrating Womanhood’, boys and girls of junior school (KG-G3) displayed their skills from a colourful stage where there was full of energy and display of talent.

‘Padmashri’ D.R.Kaarthikeyan, former Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), was the chief guest while Mr.R.Thiruchenthuran, president, Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam’s Vision 2020, Tamil Nadu, was the special guest, for this well conducted cultural show.
QMIS students had performed on important themes and issues such as the contribution of freedom fighter Velu Nachiar, women empowerment, patriotism etc.
Dr.C.Chandran, Chairman, QMIS, had presented excellence awards to students and told a large gathering of parents and guests that the school is a proud member of CIS- Council of International Schools.
Mr.Abinath Chandran, Managing Director of QMIS and Ms.Sujatha Guptan, Director-Academics, were showered with encomiums for their dedication and success in bringing laurels and awards to the school by passionately motivating students and teachers through team work.
