DINDIGUL: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up its election campaign in Dindigul district for the upcoming polls to rural local bodies to be held in two phases on 27th and 30th December 2019.

Party leaders and cadres are covering all areas in the district canvassing for the BJP-AIADMK alliance candidates and allies. Fourteen BJP candidates are in fray in 14 panchayat unions.

CAMPAIGN ISSUES:

Accompanies by district leaders and party workers, Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan had campaigned at several places in Dindigul district on 20th December 2019 covering areas such as Balakrishnamuram and Palayamkottai etc.

He told ‘Lotustimes’ news website today that the BJP’s campaign highlights are Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s welfare schemes announced and implemented especially for rural / semi-urban people in the last over five years. 

“Construction of toilets, Swacchh Bharat, LPG gas cylinder Ujwala Scheme, insurance scheme for crops/ farmers and PM’s Housing Scheme etc have benefited lakhs and lakhs of families. All these are Central government schemes and we are explaining to village people in our poll campaign,” Prof.Dr.Srinivasan has said.

Elections for rural local bodies in Tamil Nadu are being held for district panchayats, village panchayats and panchayat unions.
