Thiruvananthapuram: The ‘MargazhI’ month of Hindu calendar began on 17th December 2019 on a very divine note at Valiachalai Street in Thiruvananthapuram with devotees going around with ‘Nama Sangeerthanam Bhajans’ starting from Sri Mahaganapathi Temple.
Members of Chalai Grama Brahmana Samudhayam and Sri Kannan Bhajan Mandali along with local devotees took part in the early morningĀ bhajans through a route that went through Valiachalai Street, Single Street, Sri Kanthaloor Mahadeva Temple, Chinnasala Street, Chenthitta Devi Temple and reached Sri Maha Ganapathi Temple at Valiachalai Street.

According to a press release here, the traditional Tamil month ‘Margazhi Masam’ namasankeerthanam bhajan today early morning was led by Mr.N.Lakshmana Iyer, president of Chalai Grama Brahmana Samudhayam and Mr.A.Lakshmanan Bhagavathar of Sri Kannan Bhajan Mandali.
After the ‘pooja’, devotees were distributed with ‘prasadam’. This traditional ‘Margazhi Maatham’ early morning ‘Namasankeerthanam’ bhajan will continue till 14th January 2020, according to press release
