MADURAI: One of the most respected industrialists from Tamil Nadu who is doing a distinguished service in the field of education from Madurai, Mr.Karumuttu T.Kannan, has put the audience in cheers and enlightened them with his speech at the golden jubilee celebrations of popular Tamil magazine ‘Thuglak’ held in this temple city on 8th December 2019.
“Mr.Cho Ramaswamy had been a critic of political wrongdoings by political parties. But, he commanded respect and admiration from all people whom he criticized about like our former CM ‘Kalaignar’ (M.Karunanidhi),” he said at the event which was attended by TMC Chief Mr.G.K.Vasan, Eminent Thinker and ‘Thuglak’ Editor Mr.S.Gurumurthy, articulate speaker Ms.Sumathi, veteran journalist Mr.Maalan and BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, who were on the dais.
GREAT WORK BY GURUMURTHY:
Lauding the great journalistic work being done by ‘Thuglak’ magazine for the past five decades since 1970, Mr.Karumuttu T.Kannan recalled his memories when he met Mr.Cho in 1973-74 as per his great father’s suggestion and was inspired by his sincerity and commitment.
“After we lost Mr.Cho.Ramaswamy, another pioneer Mr.S.Gurumurthy is doing a great work continuing the legacy of late Cho. He had filled the void and those who had doubts about this magazine got more confidence now. The way in which Mr.Gurumurthy had opposed Enron Power Project in 90s and how it became true before our eyes is an example of Mr.Gurumurthy’s intellectual ability and vast knowledge and his vision…..The editorials of ‘Thuglak’ magazine are very good for people to know what is what,” said Mr.Kannan.
