MADURAI: Eminent Thinker, economist and Editor of ‘Thuglak’ magazine Mr.S.Gurumurthy has given some good ideas and put forth his thoughts for protecting the interests of small scale industries in Tamil Nadu.
“First create a study group and prepare a concept paper for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Then you hold a massive convention involving all small industry and trade association. That will first give you government, media and public attention for your grievances,” he told a gathering of small industry representatives at an interacting meeting organized by MADITSSIA in Madurai on 8th December 2019 to tell him MSME issues.
(VIDEO) PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS:
Mr.Gurumurthy had suggested that since associations such as MADITSSIA or CODITSSIA or TANSTIA etc know the actual problems of small industries, they will be able to explain the issues better and a concept paper can be prepared through tie-ups with institutions such as Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU).
“Hold a massive convention by inviting government, RBI and banking sector officials. Invite the media and brief them about your problems and solutions given in the concept document prepared by a special study group. Mere giving petitions, memorandum or representations to government departments and Ministries will not be enough,” Mr.Gurumurthy added.
THE BEST WAY OUT:
Once a large congregation is held by MSME associations, the Government will get to know your collective demands and then things could move fast, he said and reiterated that a concept paper explaining all problems and solutions faced by micro and tiny industries will be the best way to garner attention and quick solution.
A large gathering of MADITSSIA representatives including Mr.K.P.Murugan, Mr.B.Muruganantham, Mr.KR.Gnanasambandan and invitees from small scale sector attended the meeting.
Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, who took keen interest in organizing this exclusive meeting with Mr.S.Gurumurthy in Madurai, has said that the eminent thinker is right person to solve the constraints faced by small scale industries / MSMEs.
