MADURAI: Preparations for the ‘Kumbabhishekam’ of famous Big Temple (Brihadeeswara Temple) at Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu to be held on February 5th 2020 are going on in full swing.
A temple official told ‘Lotustimes’ today that a large number of devotees and tourists are expected to witness the consecration ceremony since the ‘Kumbabhishekam’ is taking place after a gap of more than two decades.
Separate teams have been formed for the arrangements and HR&CE department officials are coordinating with police and health departments. Crowd management will be an important focus area while the temple staff are putting up adequate barricades and steps to reach the gopuram.
The ‘Balalayam’ event is on 2nd December 2019.
