CHENNAI: The new political map of India was released by the Survey of India which is our country’s mapping organisation functioning under the Department of Science and Technology. This latest map released two days ago has shown Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh.
In the map released early this month, the capital of AP was found missing and it created a storm in the State with political parties doubting the reasons for not mentioning the Andhra Pradesh capital in that political map November 2019.
However, the Central government took quick steps and in the latest political map, Amaravati was pointed as present capital of AP. The political parties especially the TDP have thanked the Prime Minister and his government for quick action.
