CHENNAI: The allegations that DMK’s mouthpiece Tamil news daily ‘Murasoli’ building in Chennai was constructed on ‘Panchami’ land meant for Scheduled Castes has landed Mr.M.K.Stalin and Co in a tight spot with the intervention of National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) and the huge media attention it got.
BJP Tamil Nadu State Secretary and party’s Madurai Zone In-charge Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan told “Lotustimes” news website today that he has petitioned to the National SC Commission in New Delhi last month that Murasoli Trust-DMK had encroached or rather “grabbed” Panchami land and based on this complaint a public hearing was conducted by National SC Commission Vice-Chairman Mr.L.Murugan in Chennai on November 19th 2019.
(VIDEO) DMK IS DUTY BOUND TO PROVE:
“Since the DMK and its president Mr.M.K.Stalin are in public life and since they claim to be champions of social justice, it is their duty to prove and give proof that their ‘Murasoli Trust’ building in Chennai is not located on ‘Panchami’ land to be distributed for SCs. It is for the DMK to provide all documents and the Tamil Nadu State Government too has to provide land records ,” BJP leader and petitioner Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan has said after attending the public hearing in Chennai along with others involved in this issue.
FOR THE CAUSE OF DEPRESSED:
When contacted, the BJP State Secretary and spokesperson Dr.Srinivasan has said today that his request to the National SC Commission is that “Panchami’ land of SCs should not be occupied by others and hence a thorough investigation / fact-finding are needed.
“My concern is for establishing the truth with documents….This is a legal and procedural issue and why should the DMK or Murasoli Trust get worried if everything is right? So, let them come out clean and tell facts to people of Tamil Nadu. The National SC Commission vice-chairman has given time till January first week when the next hearing will be held…..We have traced evidence on this matter and it is for DMK- Murasoli to prove itself that it is not guilty in ‘Panchami’ land issue. The Scheduled Caste people must get justice,” Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan told reporters in Chennai after attending the public hearing.
