South Indians celebrate at Nagpur ‘Sarveswara Temple’

‘Kanda Sashti’ celebrations at Nagpur in Maharashtra.

NAGPUR: An important temple for the south Indians in Nagpur in Maharashtra – the Sarweswara Temple at Ramnagar- here had a great celebrations of ‘Kanda Sashti’ festival on 2nd November 2019, with a large number of devotees offering prayers to Lord Muruga and the to the main deity Lord Shiva called as ‘Sarveswarar’.
Great Kanchi seer and most revered ‘Maha Periaval’ of Kanchi Mutt Sri Chandrasekara Saraswati had blessed this temple in Nagpur. Devotees had organized a procession with ‘palkudam’, ‘palkavadi’ etc and offered prayers to Lord Murugan.

According to information received from Mr.Krishnan in Nagpur, all Hindu festivals are celebrated in full religious method and rituals as per traditions at this ‘Sarveswara Temple’ in Nagpur in Maharashtra.

“There are a large number of people from south India here in Nagpur and many of them are from several places in Kerala especially from Thiruvananthapuram… Apart from deity Lord Siva, the other deities here include Devi Bhawani, Lord Ganesha, Lord Murugan with Valli, Dakshinamurthy, Navagrahams, Kala Bhairavar, Yoga Narasimhar etc,” the press release received today, has said.
