MADURAI: As part of nationwide celebrations of National Unity Day 2019 on October 31st to mark the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the Madurai Rural district unit of the BJP conducted programs to pay tributes to the Iron Man of India.
In fact, the BJP functionaries of Madurai Rural organized a ‘Mupperum Vizha’ here today to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel and Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi. Tamil Nadu BJP senior vice-president Mr.Suba.Nagarajan, State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, Madurai Rural district president Mr.Maha.Suseendhran, and others participated.

BJP cadres from Madurai Rural district unit took out a march-procession from Sri Ramakrishna Math to Surveyor Colony in Madurai today braving the very bad road.
“Sardar Patel is a symbol of unity and his role in merging princely States after our Independence is very great……This year we are celebrating 150th birth anniversary of our Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. And we are also celebrating PM Modi because he touched the hearts of Tamil Nadu people by wearing traditional Tamil attire ‘veshti’ when he received Chinese President in Mamallapuram recently. So, we are celebrating ‘Mupperum Vizha’ in Madurai today,” Mr.Suba.Nagarajan and Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, told ‘Lotus Times’ news website.
