TIRUCHI: Oil marketing major Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is observing Vigilance Awareness Week 2019 events all over the country from 28th October to 2nd November with theme ‘Integrity – A way of life’.
As a part of that outreach activity, IOC held an awareness walkathon to spread the message of ‘eradicate corruption and build a New India’ in Tiruchi on 30th October 2019.
Mr.Anup Sinha, Executive Director (Regional Services), Southern Region, IOC, had inaugurated the walkathon from Thennur Uzhavar Santhai open ground in Tiruchi in the presence of Mr.T.G.Nagarajan, Chief General Manager (Vigilance), Southern Region, IOC and Mr.BabuNarendra, Chief Divisional Retail Sales Manager, Tiruchi Divisional Office, according to a press release here on Wednesday.
School students, IOC staff, dealers and general public took part in the Tiruchi walkathon that was from Uzhavar Santhai to MGR Statue. Mr.N.Ravichandran, Special Officer and Corporation Commissioner, Tiruchirapalli, spoke about the importance of creating a movement against corruption, maintain highest standards of integrity, transparency and fairness in public dealing.
According to Mr.R.Chidambaram, General Manager (Corporation Communications) of IOC Southern Region, the IOC outlets have arranged for quality and quantity ensuring campaigns as part of this vigilance awareness week 2019.
