MADURAI: To provide ideas and inputs for policy making on crucial issues, a new forum called Madurai Development Foundation (MDF) is being launched here on November 23rd 2019 Saturday.
Experts from various fields will be invited for discussions and based on that an outcome paper will be prepared and submitted to concerned authorities.
Dr.P.S.Navaraj, former Dean of Yadava College and former Principal of Annai Fathima College, is taking this initiative of forming MDF and spearhead the development mission from Madurai. It will expand to other places soon.
FIRST TALK IS ON WATER:
“On the inaugural day itself, MDF will start its activities. We will have a discussion on title ‘Water Talk’ during which problems and solutions with regard to water will be deliberated. We request water experts to take part in this in Madurai,” Dr.Navaraj told ‘Lotus Times’ today..
HEALTH, EDUCATION ETC:
The MDF will focus on all social issues. It will pay attention to health, education, tuberculosis control, students’ leadership empowerment programs, basic education to children, welfare of underprivileged children, women empowerment, sanitation, toilets for school children, students’ skills, scientific temper, city infrastructure, urban planning and to develop Madurai as a true smart city etc.
