MADURAI: His name is Milton Powers, a famous French teacher from Madurai. True to his name, he has been powering the students teaching them French language for almost 25 years and this French teacher says with a punch that being multi-lingual is now the order of the day for employment and empowerment.
“I have been telling everyone in my long career about the benefits of learning more than two languages. And a foreign language like the French is an additional tool in students’ hands,” he says while talking to ‘Lotus Times’ news website here on October 15th 2019.

Mr.Milton Powers is a familiar face in colleges, schools and several educational bodies besides the famous Alliance Francaise.
With his 15 years experience as professor and head of Alliance Francaise of Madras in Madurai in reputed American College from 2002 to 2017 and as French professor at Annai Fatima College of Arts and Science for 10 years besides his continued role in teaching French and German at well-known Fatima College in Madurai, Mr.Milton Powers had empowered many students with his powerful multi-lingual communication skills.
“For every person, the ultimate need is a good job and good salary. In these days of competition everywhere, those who know French or German make it to success with a variety of job offers such as interpreters, translators, tourism – guides, jobs in MNCs, French teachers or tutors etc. Remember that a French teacher is always in demand,” he says.
