Modi’s Act East policy: BJP top south leader in S.Korea

CHENNAI: The pro-active ‘Act East’ policy of Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s government since 2014 has been building upon to develop strong relations with countries in East Asia region and South East Asia.
 
As a part of that Modi’s Mission which now became ‘Act East’ from erstwhile Look East, senior BJP  leader from southern India and party’s National General Secretary Mr.P.Muralidhar Rao. is now leading a delegation on an important mission by BJP to South Korea. The delegation went on a week-long visit from October 13th 2019 to bolster our ties.

The powerful policy-making South Block in our national capital New Delhi which determines and decides our country’s policy is weighing several geo-political issues and accordingly strengthening India’s foreign policy and bilateral relations.
 
PTI news agency has said that  Mr.Muralidhar Rao’s delegation will meet the Indian nationals in that country. Before going on this South Korea visit, ample inputs on all issues were taken from trade chambers and officials from the Korean Embassy in New Delhi for furthering our India’s ‘Look East’ policy.    
 
The Look East policy looks at countries such as Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore etc and these have been given lot of attention in enhancing our cultural, economic, trade and security ties besides forging a strong people-to-people bonding between India and those countries in the Asia-Pacific Region. 
 
And, Telugu-speaking Mr.P.Muralidhar Rao, who is an important BJP leader hailing from southern India, has embarked on that ‘Act East’ tour to S.Korea with a delegation and his trip purpose is to further / forge cooperation between our two countries and the people of these two nations.
