NEW DELHI: The ‘south focus’ of BJP to strengthen its presence and emerge as a strong alternative to regional parties in southern States has gained more momentum as exodus of leaders from other parties continued and BJP emerging as the best option for those leaving other parties.
On October 3rd 2019, a prominent young leader and president of Telugu Desam Party youth wing Mr.Virendra Goud had joined BJP in New Delhi in the presence of National General Secretary Mr.P.Muralidhar Rao, Telangana BJP State president Dr.K.Laxman and others.

“The growth story of BJP in southern India is going strong…..Many leaders from other parties joined BJP in last few months. Today, I welcomed Shri.Virendra Goud in to the party and wished him good luck,” Mr.Muralidhar Rao had tweeted.
Several others too including a former Minister and leaders from TDP and the Congress had joined BJP i last two weeks. Telangana BJP State president Dr.K.Laxman had lashed out at the TRS and Chief Minister KCR for his autocratic style of functioning and the family rule imposed on the people of Telangana.
