CHENNAI: The residents of West Mambalam – T.Nagar in Chennai woke up hearing to divine vibrations of ‘Hara Hara Shankara Jaya Jaya Shankara’ on September 25th 2019 Wnesday morning in connection with auspicious ‘Ekadasi’ day in this Mahalaya Paksha period.
Swami Vijayendra Saraswathi of Kanchi Kamakoti Peedam in Kancheepuram showered his blessings taking part in this religious auspicious event of the Hindus. Yajurveda Parayanam and bhajans were done in the presence of large number of saints and seers.
(VIDEO) 120 DANDI SAINTS CAME TO CHENNAI:
A procession was taken up with large number of devotees going around the important streets in West Mambalam in Chennai even as 120 Dandi saints from temple towns pilgrim spots of Kasi and Haridwar have come and took part in the parayanam and procession from Sankaramadam to Ayodhya Aswamedha Maha Mandapam situated on Arya Gowda Road.
‘Hindu Dharma Porali’ and BJP National Secretary Mr.H.Raja too participated in this auspicious celebration. The idea of celebrating Ekadasi during ‘Mahalayam Paksham’ period is to promote Vedic culture. Sri Ram Samaj made extensive arrangements and the local residents of West Mambalam and T.Nagar localities enthusiastically took part in the chanting.
In all, the city of Chennai had the good fortune to get the blessings of Hindu Gods and saints / seers even as the streets vibrated with ‘HARA HARA SANKARA….JAYA JAYA SANKARA.’
