But, this September 2019, seems to be good for Vaigai river-dependent temple city Madurai which is struggling to meet the drinking water demand for its 100 wards in Corporation area. And also the irrigation needs. The shower/ strong drizzle/ rain on SEPTEMBER 24th 2019 Tuesday, today evening, is increasing the hopes of Madurai people that water will not be a luxury atleast this monsoon season.
The more the water along the banks of River Vaigai in Madurai region, the happy people will be. BUT THE VERY BAD MADURAI ROADS AND POTHOLES ON STREETS ARE A DANGER.
This is the time Madurai Corporation should act swiftly to clear water logging and do some repairs to the damaged roads. Hope the civic authorities in Madurai will do their best. Will the Madurai Corporation Commissioner act fast? today – September 24th 2019 5 P.M.
