MADURAI: Senior BJP leader in Tamil Nadu and State Vice-President Mr.S.Surendran (55 years) had passed away in Madurai today (3.34 pm), on September 24th 2019 Tuesday.
He was battling with cancer and other complications and was under treatment at a private hospital in Madurai for the last three weeks, according to party sources here.
Late Surendran had served the BJP in Madurai region and southern districts in Tamil Nadu in various capacities, from being a district president to Madurai Zone In-Charge of the party and currently State Vice-President in Tamil Nadu BJP.
BJP Madurai Urban unit district president Mr.Saseeraman had condoled the death of Surendran Ji describing him as a bold and courageous leader.
“Surendran Ji is known for his ability in poll management. Several elections we fought under his leadership here….He was a good field worker and for me it is a personal loss,” said Mr.Saseeraman.
