MADURAI: Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary and Madurai Zone in-charge Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan led the party functionaries and cadres to celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi here on September 17th 2019 Tuesday.

Various service and charity activities have been carried out in Madurai region today by the BJP workers and particularly in response to the PM’s call planting of tree saplings was taken up in a big way, he said.
“September 17th became an important day in our country’s history because of great leader Modi’s birthday. Tamil Nadu joins the whole nation in our PM’s 69th birthday celebration. In Madurai Vibagh, our cadres jubilantly celebrated Modiji’s birthday,” Prof.Dr.Srinivasan has said.
He further emphasised that all along the people of Tamil Nadu know September 17th as only birth anniversary of EVR Periyar – Periyar E V Ramasamy. “But that has now changed and people immediately connects with this day as Modi birthday. That is an important turnaround in our State. Modi is an icon,” he added.
