MADURAI: With alliance talks reaching the final stage for the upcoming 2019 general elections, the BJP cadres here have conveyed to party’s State president Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan that “we should get the Madurai Lok Sabha seat and it should not go to allies…..”
State Secretary and Madurai Zone in-charge Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan has said this in his speech at the Sakthi Kendra Sammelan public meeting held near Othakadai on February 17th evening.
“Please ask for Madurai seat during alliance talks……Our cadres want Madurai Lok Sabha seat for us and not to other parties…..You please talk and get us because it is the wish of our cadres in Madurai region,” Prof,Dr.Srinivasan has requested the State president Dr.Tamilisai, who was seated on the stage.
He made two requests in his speech. Conferring Bharat Ratna on Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar and making a strong pitch for BJP to contest from Madurai Parliament constituency were raised by him.
