CHENNAI: The first State Executive Committee meeting of OBC Wing of the Tamil Nadu BJP was held at party headquarters ‘Kamalalayam’ in T.Nagar, Chennai, on January 30th 2019 Wednesday.
Issues pertaining to people belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and future plan of action of the OBC Morcha in Tamil Nadu BJP have been discussed at this meeting.

Several State leaders of the BJP took part in the EC meeting and addressed OBC Wing office-bearers who have come from various districts in Tamil Nadu.
Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Mr.Pon.Radhakrishnan, BJP State president Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan, national secretary Mr.H.Raja, BJP State general secretary Mr.K.S.Narendran and OBC Wing State president Mr.Karvendhan, were among those who spoke at the State EC meeting.
Resolutions were passed thanking Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi for announcing 10 per cent reservation quota for EBCs and for laying the foundation stone for Madurai AIIMS on January 27th 2019.
OBC TEAM FROM MADURAI REGION:
This EC meeting was attended by OBC wing office-bearers from Madurai Zone including Zone In-charge G.P.Baskaran, Ranjith Kumar (Madurai Rural), Murali Ramasamy (OBC- IT State co-convener, Pattakulam Palaniswamy and others.
“It was decided in today’s EC meeting that a large number of delegates from the OBC wing in Tamil Nadu will attend the BJP’s OBC wing national convention to take place in Patna on February 15th and 16th,” Mr.G.P.Baskaran has said.
